Coolant overflow tank light is on

A guy at work said i can just unplug it and it will go off the wires that go to the overflow tank..Is this true and will it hurt anything?

my 95 used to have that problem, still does once and a while... if you pull the sensor out is there two prong like thingys at the end? if there is clean those up good and it should stop it

A tech at work said just unplug it everything should be fine just making sure..

ya if you unplug it the light should go off, just check the level once anda while

why not just fix the problem, it is not difficult.

Update i just unpluged it no problems..I coolant level is fine..

This would be like unplugging an oil pressure sensor so when it is actually reading a problem you won't know about it until it's too late.
