My weekend project is a coolant flush and 180 degree thermostat... I was just wondering if anyone had preference in coolant brands?

I don't think it makes a big difference. I know a lot of people like to use that water wetter stuff though.

I just topped off my coolant with Prestone "Ready Fill" 50/50 premixed stuff and the temp. gauge sits on the "N" of NORMAL so I guess it's alright.

I use Prestone as well. I tried the Water Wetter but I did not notice an increase in the cooling ability.

Prestone here too, and in the Fla heat...I use 50/50 with distilled water.

Also FYI..."COOLANT" refers to the entire mixture that is in the radiator, not just what you are actually buying in the bottle.

Shaun..Im tending to think that with after market radiators, you wont see any difference with W/W...Im and idiot and still use it anyway

When I purchased the RL WW the guy told me to use two bottles in a V8 engine. And I did see a big difference at running temp. Use to run between 'm' and 'l'. Now runs between 'r' and 'm'. Good enough evidence for me .

no real difference if you ask me....just make sure you make an 80/20 mix for the summer. should keep your car nice. lotsa people run a 50/50 mix and thats gonna overheat lotsa engines
