coolant surge??

Ok, I have an idle surge issue....also a cooling issue. I have a ton of that radiator sealer in my rad (which means it is all over the coolant system. I have been trying to flush all that crap out of the rad...if it is clumped up and gets in the pump...could it cause idle surge? My idle surge comes and goes for no reason. My thought (before I get flamed) is that if it clumps inside the pump it could slow it down/jam it and cause the engine to stain and thenthe ECU will attempt to fix it. Any ideas? SORRY SOOO LONG.

For the surge I have done the following:

Cleaned IAD (Which is now disconnected with no change)

Replaced Coolant temp Sensor

Reset TPS

Reset timing

Cleaned TB and intake.

Any ideas?

i dont think that bars leak or whatever would cause any kind of stopping or straining of the engine, but it could definetly cause a cooling problem if it clogs passages in the radiator and block. your idle surge problems lie elsewhere. id try cleaning your maf and checking tps voltage.
