leaking coolant out my 4.6l near firewall in an upward direction looks like its for the heater core. the nipple that fits in the hose broke. being told i need new intake manifold but not sure. looks like it has bolts on it so is it a bolt on piece or do i need new manifold? i cant see needing a whole new intake manifold for just a nipple that leads to heater core. i need some help! it happened as i was taking off from a stop sign, thought my wiper spray was pushed at first because it sprayed right out the hood but it was coolant..
If it did it taking off from a stop you probably need engine mounts because it could have twisted and pulled the hose but if you broke the nipple off you might need a new intake. Some are molded in, some are threaded in.
