Paid $212 for installation and grease. Just got the 4.10s put on today!!! Im loving it. 1st through 3rd pulls noticably harder on my stock(well, not anymore) manual 02 gt. I paid $155 for the 4.10s. Next week i get a diablo chip for performance and to correct speedo. Gears are a great first modd!!

Doesnt everyone else agree??

Do most of you guys go through ford to have them installed? Or is it mostly performance shops? About my only option around here is the ford dealer, well the only one i would trust anyway...

Do it yourself, It's easy. Took about five hours to replace gears with all seals and bearings. It cost me $80 for my 4.10 gears on ebay (new ford racing), $110 for complete install kit, and about $30 for oil and other supplies (beer). You can find complete instructions on this site if you do a search, it's not as hard as some would lead you to believe!

Kudos if this is an easy install for you. Personally, I wouldn't tear the rearend of my car apart, nor the transmission, or heads, or .... ! Know you limitations and what you are comfortable with.

Very ture. There is nothing worse than tearing something apart and not knowing what to do next, or how to put it back together, the RIGHT way...
