Well, the bbk website says my air filter is cotton and washable.
How would one go about doing this?
Usually just bought a new filter, but if it'll save me some cash(kinda tight atm) i'd like to just "clean" it.
Do I need to buy some sort of chemical, or can i just run it through the sink and let it dry or something.

just wash with soap and water then let it dry and there is probably a oil you have to treat it with before re installing.

Just buy the K&N filter cleaner kit. Its like $10 at Autozone. I have a blue Holley filter and that is what i use on mine. The reddish oil hasn't changed the color of my filter either.

All the "high flow" filters out there are cotton (K&N, Holley, Fram Air Hog).....Cotton on it's own filters like crap, that's why you have to oil them.

Ok thanks, after cleaning and oiling, generally how long must you wait before it's ready for use?
Or will it be ready for use right after.
Or is there a wait time after cleaning...
I'm sure there will be directions on the "recharge kit" k&n sells.

Thanks again in advance.
