Ok. New developments in my odd case. As I'm sure some of you have read before.. every couple of days I can be driving down the road at 65 in 5th and the car would JERK and then run fine.
I changed the wires and fuel filter at work the other day and checked the battery and alternator, everything good. Ran alright.. until today.
Bucked alittle on the way to work.. worse than it has before.
Then on the way home as I let my foot off the gas going down a hill on the highway in 5th.. the engine died.. both tachs hit ZERO, then seconds later the car started again and was fine until I got home. I figured if this were a distributor, wire, plug problem it wouldn't just Cease to run.. the cap, rotor, wires, and plugs are new. Could this be the Coil or the TFI module.. or does this sound like the comp is on the way out?
I didn't figure it was a fuel problem because fuel problem tend to fizzle to a halt not just stop dead. Let me know what you pro's think.

ive been having that bucking problem lately too. i dont think its anything fuel related because the f/p stays right on through the bucking. mine has never died like yours but i could push down the gas when its bucking and it fights back and doesnt speed up anymore. cant figure out what it is yet but very very annoying and makes me not want to drive when it happens....so this is a bump for us

i had the same problem and it took me 2 and a half months to figure it out. it was my distributor. but before i changed that i went throught: 2 ste of plugs and wires, 2 set of cap and rotors, 2 coils, and an ignition module. after all that it was doing the same thing. be careful thought cause if still starts up after it dies. that will stop happing soon. cause it just gets worse from here on. but the distributor was my problem.

good luck

Im having the same problems it idles really rough. Lately it was been bucking and jerking almost the whole time i drive it. I have to get to work though. Im still trying to figure out what it is.

i think its either full or ignition
