I ended up going with the Pypes Cats, so i have those, and 3.5" Hooker Header Tips, im having the shop rip everything out, install the cats, H-Pipe and Original 40's tomorrow. Going to have them leave room in the front for LT's that i will get at a later time.

I had to watch the video a second time. The first time I could'nt take my eyes off the puny tires. Sounds good though.

How exactly does one leave room for headers without leaving a huge gap between the mid pipe and the manifolds?

yeah...my brain isnt working very well haha

I didnt, they didnt have any o2 extenders, to put the cats more towards the back and i didnt even think of getting them, so if i do headers ever it will be shorties

I dont care what anyone says, I think Mustangs have the single best exhaust tone out of any car ever made! Ive had just about everything or heard it but a Mustang has such a distinctive tone! I wish I could have mounted my mufflers before the axle so that I could get that tone. Even though I have a 4.6 DOHC it just cant get that sound with rear mounted mufflers.

Lazer if the undercarriage is anything like the tbird, you can fit one, you can put a dual in dual out flowmaster or magnaflow where the resonator use to be right after the cats, there is more than enough room and plenty of guys on TCCOA had that set up. just remove the mufflers at end and change out the res:

Check this vid for sound, they used Magnaflow.

I have that exact res on mine and then Borlas out back. Full 2.5" mandrel bent system. With no mufflers the car is just way too loud.
What gives Mustangs that distinctive tone is chambered mufflers in the middle of the system and then long sections of pipe till it dumps out back. With the cans out back I cant get the tone from the long sections of pipe as mine are only 1' as opposed to the 3+' the Stangs have.

You can bro, simply cut out the res and muffs, and put tips out the back and put a dual in dual out flowmaster bingo bango your good to go, it prolly wont sound exactly like a stang but it will be pretty damn close.
