Coupe Trunk Ques

Had a box in the back of my coupe and it knocked the rods off that hold up the trunk. Anyone know how they are supposed to go back in, looked in all the manuals, but of course the coupe was omitted, as usual, LOL. If anyone can help me out or take a pic of theirs it would be greatly appreciated!

Good luck, my bro's mustang had those bars reversed, so the trunk would torque DOWN and it was a work out just trying to open the trunk... he eventually figured it out and put the bars back in opposite as before, he says they are a bitch and a half!

Good luck, sorry im not sure how they are installed.

You can just got springs from a vert and they will work

One end of the rod goes into the hinge and the other end, the end that looks like an L, locks into the grooved section.

The grooves are circled in red.

Thanks for the help guys. I like the conv. spring idea, might check into that. BTW you are right they are a PITA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep the vert springs work too. I have a set of them on mine becuase the stock arm system was not strong enough for the Saleen wing.
