Couple Questions about offroad h and cutouts

Ok i have a couple questions. My first one is about the offroad h pipe i just bought off another person used. It looks a little old and has a little rust on it. My question is id like to sand it down and put some type of high temp. paint on it to keep it from rusting and make it look better. Do you guys know what type of paint i should use on it?

Secondly, im thinking of putting cutouts on my exhaust. If i have an offroad h pipe and i use cutouts then would i have any backpressure? Would i have to worry about possibly backfiring and blowing my motor up?

You can use any Duplicolor high-temp spray paint. Check at the local parts store and get some engine paint. You should be good to go.
