The car is prepped and ready to go if I can get out of work early enough to get there at a reasonable time. I had planned on leaving work early to get there by 4 but it looks like I wont be able to make it until 7 at the earliest... Do you think it's worth trying to get there for 3 hours? Any concerns about it being crowded with all of the high school kids getting ready for Friday?
I wont be able to make it this wed, but I'll be in the HSD on friday. I've never ran the stang there. I always brake it before hand. I don't know if it will be crowded, but I'm guess it will be later on if the weather nice.
I couldn't make it this week due to work... how'd it go? Crowded? 2bfeard, did you get that beast into the 8s? I am taking next wednesday off so I will be there next TNT for sure.
I got three runs, first run I blew the intercooler pipe of 10.03 at 145mph, 2nd run spun the tires lifted then got it hooked up ran a 9.31 at 159mph, 3rd run blew the tire off, then shaked the tires ran 9.5 at 161mph. track was not very good for my car, but thats normal. I be at Bremerton Sat. and Sun.
It was crowded. Likely, it will be for a few Wednesdays. I arrived at 4:20 and the line was around the bend. By 4:40 cars were going down the track. I didn't make it throught the gate until 5:00 and my first pass was 6:30, and I was lucky.
Many interesting cars there. It seemed that Mercedes was doing a little testing as I saw some tech guys present and there were a half dozen AMG cars including a two seater Mercedes SLR AMG McClarren. It ran 11.30 at 125 through the cats. I think it was a V10 with twin turbo. Someone else should know more. I'm curious what it cost. The other AMG sedans and wagons were running low 12's or so.
