cpp front suspension - shock tower patch panels

A couple Q's here guys...
First, I WAS going to do a Mustang II front sus. just because it's all one package and will ensure that things are straight and aligned correctly. COST however, is making it not doable for another year or two. I also have no need for the xtra room etc. that it provides, and have heard that the CPP kits are better anyways.
So, if i get the cpp kit, it provides a "mini-tub" as they call it, which will help ensure things stay in place and are correctly measured. I like that idea.
BUT, my shock towers are pretty much rust. Not like they HAVE rust... they ARE rust.

So, I'll need patch panels, or whole new inner fender sections. I don't know what's necessary. I don't even know what they provide out in the aftermarket, and if it's worth anything.

Also, if I get the cpp front sus. do i still need to lower the upper A-arm mount to make the geometry better, or does the cpp kit solve the issues already?

both are good options. if you want the added handling benefits of the upper control lowering then you wil still need to drill the new towers.

Good choice on the ccp kit. I've got it on my 67 and I love it.

The kit doesn't change the geometry of the stock a-arm, so like bnickel said, you still need to lower the upper a-arm to get that benifit.
