Cracked intake Poll.....everyone vote!

I am curious to see how many people have had their intakes crack....I know this is a common issue......so I am curious as to which years seem to be worse and supposedly the PI intakes are "fixed" but I know of a few people that have had cracked PI intakes......so lets see...

Please post where your intake cracked if you know.....

And those of you with no crack yet....please post the year of your car

I proactively changed my '98s NPI all plastic intake with a PI version with the aluminum coolant crossover. I was reading aleast one a week on here that another intake from a '98 was cracked. Didn't want to happen to me, so its off. My car had only 30k miles on it at the time, so it doesn't have the mileage on it that most '98s have. I don't think that you will find many '02+ with the aluminum crossover that have failed.

Dad's 99 Lincoln Towncar with a 4.6 cracked the intake. High mileage, used as a limo. Not driven hard, and always maintained.

mine cracked, good thing the extended warranty i bought covered it.

Mine cracked last night. Bought the car from Miami and shipped it over here to Sweden i Europe. Got all the registration work done on wednesday and on thursday the car was ready to use.

And ofcourse the manifold cracked! Im so mad! And I dont dare to drive the car becouse it sprays water all over the altenator so I will have to tow the car to the shop!

When I had my 98 Gt it cracked with 15000 miles on it.

How do you know if it is cracked?
Some of those cracks would not be visable if on the underside etc?
