Hi guy's.

Well I cracked one of my tail lights and found these.
I would of chosen the stock horizontal tail lights, but money is an issue, so spending $150 dollars for a new pair is a little out of the question. So critisize all you want. Price does matter right now.

I would appreciate some feedback.

Get some used ones on ebay. The '96-98 ones suck, and the clear ones are disgusting. Just my opinion though.

Your car, do what you want. Verticles don't look as good as horizontals in my opinion.

They make the rear end look too narrow and far less agressive. Replace the cracked one and throw some saleen covers on them.

Those are the export tails. If price is an issue for him, the export tails are out of the question (I've seen them sell for $300ish for a pair), but I would buy a set in a heartbeat if I found a good deal.

Look on eBay for a used set like others have said, just please don't get the all clear tails...those look worse than altezzas to me, and I HATE altezzas.

I see the appeal of both styles of tail lights. The horizontals make the rear look wider, and a little lower and meaner. The verticals, to me, just make it look more "mustang like" since the original mustangs did have vertical tail lights. Go with what whatever you want and you'll be happy since its YOUR car.

Have you even tried junkyards?
I've seen '96-'98 tails go for $75 a pair at a yard near me.
Of course I also got both my radio bezel with vents AND shifter bezel for $15 from the same yard.

This would be my only reason to keep the '94-'95's. But I never really liked the horizontals. I remember when the '96 came out when I was in 5th grade, and I saw the tails and thought the Mustang had gotten 100x better(I didn't know about the engine change back then). I always loved classic Mustangs, and was glad they went traditional.

My car had the '96 tails when I bought it. But if anyone is smart enough to know that horizontals=5.0, they should also be smart enough to notice my exhaust note is a pushrod's, and that my GT badges don't have 4.6 banners on them. For the uneducated people, I have small 302 decals next to the hood scoops.
