Okay so I was trying to install my steeda underdrive pullies tonight on my 2000 GT and everything was going good until I got to the crank pully. The bolt for the crank pully came right off but when i tried using the pully puller it will not come off for anything. We were wrenching at it for like 3 hours and it still wont budge. Does anyone have any suggestions for what i can do to get this pully off? Now my car is out of commision until I can get this off. What should I be carefull of doing so not to damage the crank?

It does take a good bit of effort to first get it it moving. Once it starts it will get easier. Make sure you are using an end on the puller that won't damage the threads, and I HIGHLY reccommend using a thread chaser before installing the new pulley back on.

It should come right off with the puller. After I took the factory bolt out, I think I put the longer steeda bolt in there for the puller to push against. If you don't have a bolt in there and are just pushing against the washer then it won't come out. Also don't screw the bolt all the way in so you have some space between the bolt head and the washer, so the pulley can move.

Its simple, but I can't see any other reason why it wouldn't come off if you are using the puller correctly otherwise.

The last post almost got it.You must remove the washer under the crank bolt or it will never come off.Use plenty of RTV sealer in the crank pulley keyway or the crank pulley WILL leak oil.

if your pully puller isn't working it might be better to borrow a better one, autozone will let you borrow one for free, also it take alot of torque to get the crank loosened and then it pop's right off, be sure to heat up the pully in boiling water when putting it back on, check out the how to's : Mustang World

good luck

yeah i forgot to take the stupid washer off i thought my friend took it off when we took off the bolt but i guess not. The funny thing is i was telling him about the washer when we were going back to work on it and when i took off the puller for like the 4th time the washer fell right off.
