Clevite makes good bearings. King bearings aren't bad, but they are kind of an off the shelf brand. Lots of stroker kits come with them. I'd get the Clevites. Bearings are inexpensive in the scheme of things, and Clevite is a known brand that has been around forever. Pretty sure I have Clevites in my car right now. That being said, the stroker kit originally came with King bearings and they stood up just fine.

Yes, they will be fine. Main bearings aren't a problem on a 302. As long as the clearances are good, I wouldn't worry too much about getting the absolute best bearings. Now if you are running a clutch with a lot of clamp pressure, that's something worth talking about a little more. Long story.

Centerforce dual friction uses a stock pressure plate. You are fine.

I loved my Centerforce in my MR2, and hated it in my Mustang. It fell well short of the mark. However, I was putting over 600 ft lbs of torque to the wheels while running drag slicks. Needless to say it burned down to the rivets on the second pass. On a mild to moderate street build on radial tires, I think it's a great clutch.
