has anyone noticed wobble in their crankshaft damper??, i replaced my water pump the other day, and noticed that the damper (the balancer with the timing marks on it) had a pretty bad wobble to it, the crank pulley is still running without wobble, and i dont notice any vibration while driving, but i didnt know if there was harm in leaving it like this?

Its terminal...If you see it wobbling, it ain't good....It could launch off that inner ring at anytime, like when your wringing it out about 5k.. :( Not good...
Take a look/see, the rubber must be poking out to boot...Replace it...

last november i slid off wet/icy roads and smacked a dirt pile hard enough to deploy both airbags... my engine compartment was loaded with mud, and a lot of it was between the pulleys and the radiatorfan, im thinking it must have happened then, if this is the case, is it possible to just reposition/balance it, or do they just have to be replaced?... if i need to replace it is there a special puller for this that i need?
