Hello. New to the forums and have a question and found this forum and thought i would give it a try. Any help is appreciated!

I am i the middle of a head/ cam/ and intake swap on my 1992 mustang lx 5.0 HO and i got everything off except the crankshaft pulley and harmonic balancer. I just bought the car as a project and look inside the pulley and there are only 3 bolts holding it in. So here are my questions. A) Thre should be four..Correct? B) Are they suppose to be allen head bolts?

If anyone has any input that would be great. Im sure somebody can tell me seeing as these are the most common mods. Thanks

Mine has 4 if I remember correctly..mines a 95 though. The belt will help hold it in place to get the bolts lose. Mine werent allen head bolts either

The stock crank pulley has four grade 8 hex head bolts about an inch long. Aftermarket underdrive pulleys will use allen head bolts for clearance due to the smaller pulley diameter.

Ford sb's from the mid 70's are normally 4 bolt pulleys and dampers.

Earlier ones were 3 bolts. I guess you can mix the pulleys as long as they fit and line up on the belt.
