crappy brakes

well I drove the mustang for the second time (first time with NO front brakes). They got almost no pressure, but I noticed that if I pump the brakes the pressure is way way better. Could the vaccume booster be bad? I think that's the only thing that wasn't messed with with the brake tuneup my dad and his mechanic friend did.

Usually if you can pump it up and get pressure it's the master cylinder. The only thing the booster would cause is a hard pedal if it's bad. I take it you have power brakes?

Thats what his sig says, but I agree with you, and I have been telling him for 2 weeks now that his master cylinder is prolly jacked up

I forget, which master cylinder off of a newer mustang can he use? isnt it like a 88-92 mustang???

the master cylinder was replaced already. Think its bad?

i think the m/c I have is from a 96-98 Cobra. but that's for 4 whl discs.

did they bench bleed the master cylinder before they put it on?
