when i am at a dead stop and start to go i hear a creaking noise from my front end. it only happens when i am starting from a dead stop, i cant figure out what it is. has anyone had this same problem?
I had a creek in my car and it stumped me for months. I tightened all of the bolts on the k brace under the oil pan. The bolts went tight enough. I torque them all down and haven't had any problems.
yeah dude, if you turn the wheel at a stand still and hear the creek, it's the ball joints at the end of the steering tie rods. Ford graciously did NOT supply grease fittings to the stock mechanicals.
i have that problem with mine whitesnake, im replacing the boot that is broken when i get my paycheck but for now im just loadin the grease in every couple days... =)
My creaking noise ended up being my driver side Outer Tie Rod End. It would creak when you turned the wheel and when you went over a bump.. I replaced it with one that had a grease fitting. Works better.
