Hey everyone! So ive been searching and havent found alot of info on making an custom headliner. Im thinking about either going with a fiberglass or a vinyl covered fiber board one piece headliner. Anyone done this? This is a long shot but most importantly, anyone know the dimensions of a 67/68 coupe headliner? If I had that I believe I would be able to head over to my local Tap Plastics or any custom fiberglass place and have them make me up one. Could it be that easy? Other then that mounting and keeping it in place shouldnt be an issue.

I'm interested, but know nothing; if you're doing legwork, please be sure and let us know what you find out!

There was an article in one of the hot rod magazines a while back that did a custom headliner for a 67/68 fastback. The used the roof as a rough mold for the fiberglass shape and had to massage it a bit for it to work. It sounded good in theory but the factory headliner looked better. Just my .02

Check here: Automotive Interior - Fiberglass Forums you have to register to see the threads.

Because of the extensive changes in my 69 I'm going to make a fglass pan so-to-speak, cover it with foam & material. We do basically the same at work on armored SUVs & luxury sedans only over the armor panels instead of fglass.
