Now im obviously not completely done: i need to straighten lines n such in the front and darken some line due to how soft my graphite is, but let me know whats wrong here. Tell me what you think i should change/define and so on

BTW I will be drawing 2nd and 3rd place in the next week or so

um, not to steal the thread, but did you ever do the drawing where it looks like a cartoon sort of and it looks like its getting ready to take off, like aggressive and the tires smoking...i dont know how to explain it, anyone know what i mean?? lol

I think it looks good as a 'work in progress'.

Although I would try to define the interior of the hood scoop a little more. As the picture is right now, the inside of the scoop and the shadow it casts are blurred together as one. It makes it look like the scoop is messed up.

And after looking at is closer, the lines on the side of the scoop are off. They look like this | |
When they should look like this / /

Pretty good man, I have respect for anyone who A. can sketch and B. is willing to put it up for the public to scrutinze.

I do agree about the hood scoop... and I would try to shade the windows to give the impression of tint. I know nothing about it so I dont know how you would acomplish that and make it look right but just an Idea.... keep'm coming

i could smear shade the windows for tint w/ my finger but it wont really look like tint it'll look like shadow so tint is hard since im only using a thin soft lead pensil

should i do tire tread? i was thinking about it but w/ that much detail the tires will become the focal point and thats not cool. Yet nothing really has detail yet except maybe the wheels but nothing like what im used to. Cars are too simple yet hard to draw kinda wierd

thats exactly what i've found. i love drawing, but when i try drawing cars i always get frustrated and give up because it always bugs me when i cant get my lines to line up exactly like the original pic or have things parallel when needed.

but anyways...thats awesome that you chose my pic. and thats a damn good drawing of my car you have a lot of talent.

if you have any extra time maybe you could draw on just a simple cowl hood maybe? lol but i understand if you dont have the time. drawing is very time consuming.

I wouldn't do the tread unless you can actually see it in the picture.

I only saw a few minor details, besides the ones you pointed out. I realize you're probably going to put 'em in later.

-front license plate area goes all the way down to opening of bumper, not just floating in middle.
-GT emblem
-rear quarter reflector
-keyhole
-grille honeycombs
-in actual picture his driver mirror looks painted blue. It seems to be black in drawing, but i would have to see more of your shading to get a better idea.
-driprails above windows aren't there. Roof of car shouldn't go to window.
-steering wheel and dash

Thanks, yeah i actually did forget the reflector and key hole. The GT is on my rendition just not on the picture. The mirror i need to re-do your right, but the roof of the car doesn't go to the window and im pourposly leaving out the honey comb, it'd look askew. Steering wheel and dash im doing now

P.S. Ill fix the lisence plate now

Oh yeah, it looks really good.
I especially like the front rim. Rims and tires are always the worst part for me.

sketch

Mechanical pencil, black ink pen, and color pencils
