1. That doesnt look like a 93, unless you got ripped of the Pony wheels.
2. My stocker with 2.73 wil rape that 350 x-fire.
3. If your gonna do a Chevy powered Fox, you better do AT LEAST and LT1, better yet and LS1.
4. You are gonna spend WAY MORE time and money trying to get that thing to run than if you just a nice, simple, great running Explorer 5.0 swap.
5. Have fun, but you will get pretty much nothing but crap everywhere you go, even from Chevy guys.

i think this sounds like a very unique idea
and crossfire is not all bad, stock they have 205 hp but 290 tq
what does a 93 stang have? 205 hp and 275 tq so they are pretty close in comparison
i have a 84 vette with crossfire, mods to that include headers, 2.5 exhaust, ported intake, bigger tbs, and i walk away from mustangs all the time
crossfire93 i would check out the website www.crossfire.homeip.net/cftest
theres alot of good info about crossfire there

225hp and 300 tq.. its till close in comparison.. but you have to consider how much more mod friendly the 5.0 is to a cross-fire motor.. oh.. about 100X..

Plus, the aftermarket is again.. oh.. i dunno.. lets just say MUCH larger for the 5.0.

its not cost effective and its not that *exotic* of a swap. If he wants to put that much time and effort into something like this he needs to consider the other *better* options such as a lt1 or ls1.

Its not that we are "bashing" the cross-fire motor. Most of us do give credit where credit is due. Its that the general consensus is he willi spend far too much money for what he will get and I am willing to bet he will be one very very dissapointed person when its all said and done.

Lol....a 351w would rape that motor.

Your swapping a chevy in just to say you swapped a chevy in, and its going to get raped by h/c/i ford 302's.

sounds like this guy is just posting in here to get us all wild and raging. I say go for it, it's just another example of smaller ford motors being better than bigger chevy motors. When he runs a 16sec quater and gets beat by all the imports. Alls he has to do is pop the hood and they'll all say, should of been a ford, wanna be!

Are you sure it was a crossfire? The crossfire was only out in the 82 maybe the 83 camaros and the iroc didn't come out until 85.
