You're in luck! Now when you buy a new Corvette, you get a free subscription top Satellite classic rock stations and the blue pill of the month club. But put away that CHECKBOOK! You also get this..... LOVELY set of steak knives and one free digital satellite talk station!!!! I'tsa Howard Stern's, "Before I was Washed Up" channel, featuring all your favorites before they were passé and completely done to death.

For the OP... That's an awesome find! I do appreciate good condition, non-modified examples of American Muscle cars.

Dementia is setting in. Time for you to step down.

Let me know when you begin shopping for your vette. You can use my leftover Carfaxes.

You guys never heard the joke about the elephant and the mouse? It explains the Corvette owners to a T. lol Not posting it here as it is a little risque.

Ya know....although I'm not a fan of all of the pro America's got talent stuff as of late, I gotta say the show since moving to satellite has been better than ever. . I like the show, and Sterns more mature demeanor. I've tried listening to the older stuff and it's really little more than the running equivalent of a "fart joke". I couldn't stand Jackie Martling. His voice was the equivalent of nails running down a chalk board.

I have to admit....I really do miss Artie Lange though. The show took a big hit when he left. Kinda miss Bubba "the love sponge" on Howard 101 too.

Don't know how many miles Sat radio in general still has in it. They've pissed off a lot of talent over the last few years.

He has aged with the lot of us. Barely anyone the generation behind us even knows who he is other than having heard the name before.

This is true. It's really too bad though. I'm not sure what I'll do if he doesn't renew when his contract is up. I literally can't even listen to local radio any more....it's so bland and it get's annoying when the so called "terrestrial talent" tries to get edgy.

It seems like everyone is trying to be the next "Shock Jock", but none are willing to put themselves out there to do it. It's like they tell their listeners how much more "raw" they're going to be, and then use words like "gosh, darn and heck" in place of the real deal. lol

Oddly enough, the majority of the stations that I listen to these days are the ones that play music starting from generations previous to mine (2 or so mostly). These same stations also play a lot what I consider to be "updated interpretations" of what I liked about Classic Rock. Some of those things from the top of my head:

They tend to write their own lyrics and music and have the ability to do that (unlike Miley, Boy bands that lip synch, and most er... 'artists' that belt out some version of something that was written by someone else). Remember Milly Vanilly (sp)? They sucked in the 80 and were crucified for the VERY thing that all these hacks do for a living now. Insane

They have the ability to perform what they've created vocally (without on-the-fly auto tuning running through a super computer).

They actually PLAY an instrument while simultaneously doing the vocals and can also play in a group to produce something intelligible.

You should have seen the look on my daughter's face when I proved to her that auto tuners could be used live.

Them: "Noooooooooo I saw them in concert! It's not auto tuned"!

Me: Here... check out this app! LOL It's free.

It's been a real fun thread.

Since the Vette is actually my wife's car I thought I might show her all the fun we've been having.

I thought some more and decided not to. Never know how moody these ladies can get.

Good call! Women don't generally take to being reminded that they're aging, as well as guys do. Go figure!

We're having a beer and discussing the new toy while looking at a 96 Gran Sport die cast.

I can't help thinking about Rogain dispenser nozzles in the dome light. I keep chuckling and she keeps asking me "what"?

I dying to spill the beans but biting my tongue.

Too funny!
I was just about to post "at least she didn't want a Miata".
Looks like a real clean car.
I like women that are strong enough to buy and drive an American V8 sports car.
