My cruise on my '95 GT has an intermittent problem[drops out while going down road]and i want to remove the switch covers to check and clean the contacts.How do i remove them without breaking them?Also,is the right side two piece or one piece?Thanks.I don't want to remove the whole switch,just the covers.

i think you may have to remove the airbag--the screws to remove the switches are behind it. you won't have to unplug it, i don't think, just gotta get it out of the way so you can get to the switches.
edit: just saw you wanted to just remove the covers... it's tough to do w/out breaking them. the right side is two pieces--i think the large piece comes off first, then the smaller one.
