cruise control crap

man my cruise died on me on a road trip and just cut off down the interstate and would not work again not a clue what to do pulled codes all normal and need to get fixed fast can someone give me a coulple of things to try to fix

You're probably on a wire chasing mission. Clutch switches, brake switches, blah blah.... find a wiring diagram and work backwards.

On the wiring diagram, the things that are in line with the speed control are the emergency flasher, clutch switch, speed cable sensor, stop lamp switch (brake). On automatics the clutch switch is replaced by the tranny switch.

If it's not any of those 3 things then either the servo, amplifier or switch cluster on the steering wheel would be bad (requiring replacement).

Mine is my Chilton manual (good idea to get one if don't already have one). I've heard others that have gotten them off of either the Advance or Autozone website. I forget which one specifically.

Check the fuse - if the cig lighter works, the one part of the cruse control is on the same circuit.

Post some info on your car & mods in your sig - it helps to know what year it is to get you pointed in the right direction. Things do change from year to year, especially in the wiring department.
