the last couple days have been unlucky with my stang. i put the cobra brakes on 2 nights ago, and had a little adventure while testing them out. i used to have sub/amp in the trunk, and still have (read: had) the wires dangling around. when i hit the brakes, the ground and power wire crossed and started smoldering. my girl thought something smelled funny so i pulled over. thankfully i opened up the trunk before it actually caught fire.

turns out i have a pinhole leak in my radiator, so i bought one of those aluminum mishimotos.

aaaaaand today while going to mcdonalds i hit a raised part of the road, snapping the rear sway bar where it mounts to the passenger side lower control arm.

i'm going to take the sway bar off in a few minutes here. is the rear sway bar really THAT necessary for the street? I dont race the car anymore and honestly dont feel like buying another one unless someone here has a used one they'd let go of.

it's also been high-idling for about 30 seconds when starting up....

what will happen next

Hope your luck turns around and that mishimoto radiator works out for you. I am on my second one and i think it has developed a small leak also. Don't know if it is something with my frame or what. Both of mine worked great for about three months but then started to have a small leak on the upper passenger side and needs topping off about once a week. Mishimoto replaced my first one quickly with no questions but now I am considering just going back to stock...

Man, I hate when the car decides to take a dump on me. Well, I guess sometimes I deserve it, knowing how much I usually punish it on the back-roads and local track. Not to mention those potholes...

For the startup high-idle, try cleaning your IAC valve and inside the TB. Did the trick for me when it happened last summer.
