Well the rain finally ended after 4 straight days and I was able to install my Custom 1966 Mustang GT badges...

Nice. I was considering those badges also. I've decided to keep the stockers for now. What's custom about them?

making them fit...they are hollow

Looks pretty good man. Different but it fits your car well.

Looks very good I thought about those last year, but decided to just get the GT/A emblem instead.
I thought for many days on whether or not to drill the holes in the car to mount them or cut the studs off and use 3M, but that would've left it "hollow" inside as well. I drilled my nearly new car

Yeah, they look real good!

I, too, just put the '65 shields on my silver.

I have been looking into getting some FORD letters for the hood like on the 196X mustangs, and also getting some flat black decals that say 281 with the V underneath like they said 289 on the 196X mustangs. That would be a classic look.
