I kinda want to make a custom car, nothing wild just a little different. It would first start with a 4 cyl to 5.0 swap. I like the look of the foureyes and i was wondering if is easy to swap the front peices to get the foureyes. then i would like to go with the 85-86 tail lights. Thats pretty much all i want to do but how hard is that to do?

The tails are a direct bolt in. The bulbs don't plug in the same places, but it can be done easily without modification. The front bumper cover is pretty much the same deal, but you will need the older (four eyed) hood. I don't usually recommend swapping four bangers for V8's unless you alaready have the wusstang and are emotionally attatched to it. It isn't necessarily a difficult thing to do, lots of guys have done it- but IMO, by the time you get everything you need to do it right and pay yourself or someone else for the time involved, it can end up being more money than just shopping around for a cheap V8 car would have been. It takes a lot more than an engine to make it work and do it right. If you're a duct tape and bandaid mechanic, go for it.

Yeah I agree, I was thinking about converting a 4 banger to a 5.0 then I realized it would probably end up cheaper to just get a 5.0 in the first place. The 4 eyes do look real nice when they're done up though.

Does anyone think that i 88 notch converted to foureye is gonna look weird or am i just crazy. It seems that all of the foureyes that i think really look good are hatchbacks. I have yet to see a notchback foureye that i like....I actaully havnt seen any at all.

There is a guy here on base that has one. Its black, lowered, and has pony rims. Looks pretty clean. Your best bet is to buy an 86 if you want fuel injection, or 85 if you want carbed. They are really cheap and not hard to find.

Me either, and I like the four eyed stangs. So, are you saying you already have the '88 notch?

Why would it look wierd -- it will look like any other 4-eyes notch with updated windows, etc.
