For me the mass backed idea is great. I’ve heard that it can be a pain to get it to lay down. I used Dynomat and a regular carpet and it has been great. Now Hushmat, Noico, Stinger Roadkill, and the like are all really good.

I will give mass backed carpet a go i live in florida so im hoping if i let it sit out back for a good few hours probably put it out in the morning on a sunny day then when im off work fit it in hopefully warm enough and flexible enough that i can get it to lay nicely. Oh sweet im going to give one of those a go preferably the most cost effective option just want to do the floors and doors and maybe a little on the roof to help with heath transfer and keep the cabin sounding nice, i have some surface rust on the inside rear seat floor boards undercarriage of this car is spotless but previous owner let the carpet stay wet for way to long, so im planning to wire wheel and chip off all factory sound deadener to epoxy prime and then paint interior floor boards from bumper to firewall then lay down new sound deadener… the snowball is getting larger on the wiring side of things this is looking much simpler then i was expecting these harnesses are so small and simple not quite as daunting as i had it thought out to be
Solid plan. The sound deadened can be installed in a checkerboard patterns as you do not need 100% coverage. I would highly suggest a good roller to put it down. I got a couple of these and worked great on my buddy’s F150 super crew.

Whatever you do no roofing materials. They were not meant for sound deadening and they smell awful.

I wish I could let you know but mine is still in the box for my 83 vert...

Not to highjack my own thread but with how much camshafts have been talked about it didnt seem reasonable to make a separate post for this, question is f303 or n41 for explorer 302 gt40p heads and then i have the choice of explorer intake or typhoon intake( have typhoon on stock 94 302 found it for $50 lol ) i love the sound of both cams i have a 3.55 rear gear ( i plan to go 4.10s or maybe 3.73 ) its a street cruiser would daily it but i have more than 1 car so i doubt itll see everyday driving. I know the specs on these cams are “similar” only considering the alphabet cam as there is one on market place for $125 saving $350 compared to the $470 for the n41 which is out of stock rn seems worth considering i just dont know enough to make the call. Whats your guys advice. Thank you
