I agree with what another poster stated on this site about the frustration that i feel about not being able to purchase the accessories and body kits displayed at this year's SEMA show until the beginning of next year.

Does anyone know where I can go in Northern CA to have custom body parts made to look like the kits at the show? Also, does anyone know how much I could expect to pay?

Unbelieveable. You have such a strong sense of urgency to ruin a great car or what? Here's a little bit of advice that I feel strongly about:

Just because the aftermarket makes something available doesn't automatically mean you should necessarily buy it.

'Different' doesn't equate to 'better' very often in the world of the aftermarket. Take your time, and choose wisely. There is a LOT of crap out there. No need to get in a hurry.

I appreciate your opinions, but, at the risk of sounding rude, I really didn't ask for them. I asked for direction to find custom fabricators.

While you don't understand why I am in such a rush to make modifications to this car, I honestly don't understand the people who have been buying the previous generation Mustang, especially in the last 15 years. After all, the Fox platform is 25 years old! When you consider platform lifespans average between 4-7 years, the Fox platform has lived well-beyond what it should have. People who paid anything over $20,000 for a Mustang since the 90's really have to consider what they did, and how "wisely" those dollars were spent.

I think the new Mustang has a ton of potential and is a strong foundation for truly great cars. To each his own, while I do not understand why people paid good money for quarter-century old "technology", please respect the post enough to keep the replies relevant to the question and absent of any color commentary.

What happened to free will? Anyway, rcinco, I doubt you will be able to find a company, all I can say is maybe try Cervini's and see if you can prototype their's or call a company who needs a prototype car and volunteer.

Ok, maybe I was a little harsh.

Good point on the fox platform. I have had five of them since '84. My last one was in '98(Cobra), and I didn't really know much about cars and platforms but the price was right. I bought a BMW 330i last year, so yeah I finally figured it out after driving a few other cars. The new Mustang finally closes the gap significantly, and is a very nice car in GT form.

That said, I still don't understand why people like add-on stuff (like body kits) so much. They just add more mass to an already heavy car and don't add to the performance experience in any way. Is expressing individuality more important to some than pure performance? Do I really need to say what car enthusiast genre that reminds me of?

But yeah, Cervinis is probably a good bet for what you're looking for. Good luck, sorry if I came off the wrong way.
