I'll say that as good of a mechanic as Mike may have been, his identity was tied to his car and so much so that the narcissism and condescension in a lot of his posts became so off putting after several years of it that I quit following along. People like that seem to have a void or shortcoming they hide behind by being an outright pr1ck. My guess is that his wife was so successful professionally and he bounced from job to job and never really found anything to set himself to. The car was the one thing he could control and he spent every penny he had on it.
I wish him well, but also, good riddance.
