Posted it in my NA build thread. I wanted to get some more opinions on this cam profile.

Advertised (.006" lift) intake duration: 258
Advertised (.006" lift) exhaust duration: 264
Intake duration @.050" lift: 222
Exhaust duration at .050" lift: 226
Max intake lift: .560"
Max exhaust lift: .550"
Lobe separation angle: 110\

Its a custom profile that has been recommended to me. The car is going to have ported PI's, and Im trying to make more power within the stock powerband. Thanks

custom grind, none specified. The car will be launched betweeen 5000-5500k, shifted at around 6200rpm. I dont feel like spinning the car much higher. Im trying to make more power between 3000-6000k. Ive been told that the car will respond similar to stock below 3k, then it should start making more power with a peek of 20rwhp more than the stock cams. Thanks

Launched at 5k....I assume this isn't going to be a daily-driver car by any means?

Didn't you have some reground cams from HP? Have you gave them a call and talked to them about some options?

D, I ran reground cams, ersons, the first aftermarket cam company to the 4.6 seen. They are no longer. Houston Performance had more luck with their regrinds that cam out at the same time, as well as sean hyland a bit later.

As far as daily driver. Nope, I got the van, and of course, the honda civic with the nice, clean rear end on it My car might have more issues though. Ill keep in touch to let you know the details.

I imagine the guys over at HP would be able to offer some information and suggestions, especially since they do the stuff for a living Most of the guys don't bother buying a custom cam, since there are some nice cams already available.

Steve and them are great at HP. I just dont feel like jumping ship to across town rivals, especially since Strictly will be doing the work, and I dont feel like going regrinds, again.

Well get us a small dyno day going since you are lucky enough to have connections at Strictly I added them to myspace :Rlaugh:

Regardless--I don't see a problem with you running the stock cams or even a basic cam that most go with. No true need to go custom

My 03 gt is a daily driver with stage 3 heads and vt stage 2 cams. I launch the car between 4000rpm and 6000rpm all the time ....

A custom camshaft with no powerband specified

Hmmm...

Do you have any of the valve opening and closing events, just out of curiosity.

no info on the valves

Its a profile that a couple of the top NA guys on the et list recommended to me. It hasnt been recommended by a shop. Ive been told that this cam will react close to stock and will start making more power at around 3000k, with peek peing around 20rwhp while still maitaining a low powerband.

Duration: 228/238 @ .050, 109 lobe sep, .571/.545 lift.
That is what my vt stage 2 cams are. I made 308 rwhp with them and stage 3 heads.
That is also on the stock bottom end

that's a pretty short intake duration for that much of lift, make sure to get good springs. My guess is it's be as much as a high rev cam as a stage 1
