I purchased a Diablosport Predator about a month ago from Ebay for $200. I installed the diablo "canned tune" but wasnt really happy with it. The tune seemed to lean me out badly and the car was strong down low, but seemed to run out of steam up high. The fans also seemed to run nonstop even in 70 deg weather. I wanted a safer "performance tune."
I ordered a custom tune from Runnin with the Devil (diablosporttuning) and although I had to wait 3 weeks for the tune... IT KICKS ASS.
The car feels much stronger thru all rpms, the fans come on at a lower temp but dont run forever and I feel much more comfortable with the tune as it was made from my ECU code. The other cool thing about the Predator is you can use it to pull codes from any 1996+ car thru the OBDII port. I have already used it on my 98 Mazda 626 to find out my check engine light meant I had a bad 02. Great tool to have.

This mod was the most noticable power increase out of anything I have done yet.
Great mod.

That's pretty good considering James (RWTD) is based out of Mobile, with all the storm damage and everything. I've had dealings with him ever since I bought a tuner for my car, two years ago, and he's never done me wrong. Good purchase

I have a 99 GT and I felt the same about the Predator tune...in that it felt quicker down low but not up top. I just felt like my "Factory Tune" with the timing maxed felt stronger than the predator canned tune at WOT. Granted the predator tune feels a little quicker around town because the timing is maxed all around, but I am more interested in WOT performance.

I may look into the custom tune like you did.

FYI

injectedracing charges $75 for a custom tune.

runninwiththedevil charged $125 for a custom tune.

Both tuners require you to download your factory tune to the predator, then hook to your pc and email them the file. They tweak it and send it back to you so its customized for your cars computer.
Injected returned my emails within an hour everytime and said his tunes are 24 hour turn around.
RWTD took over a week to return my emails and almost 4 weeks to get the tune to me. (I realize the last week and a half were because of the hurricane)
I am very happy with my tune and it WAS WORTH THE WAIT. I also got an email explaining in detail all the little changes that were made to the tune. Injected may be worth checking out for price/turn around time alone though.

FYI just add a .com to both of the above by the prices to get to the websites.

I'm not sure about injectedracing, but RWTD's charge of $125 ($100 when I got mine) was for a "one time membership fee" and if you make mods at a later date they will send you a new tune to include those mods at no charge, and continue to do so per modification (within reason). This is why I chose them. They may have changed there policy since

same

Yeah injected said his is a "lifetime" tune / retune price. He will retune for free. I dont know much about him, he was extremely helpful with his emails and seemed like a cool guy. I think RWTD is more well known atleast on here and svtperformance though.

I am using a custom Predator tune from Dave at Injected Racing and have been very satisfied with the results. Like was said earlier re-tunes and tweaks are done at no additional cost and the turnaround time is outstanding; always has been less than 24 hours.

I have RWTD. I wish his response time was quicker.

His responses were like 5-10 days when I first purchased the custom tune. Then it went to 3-4 weeks, but he was moving to GA at the time, then was dodging a hurricane. He's already settled in his new shop and even hired another tuner. It's still been 3-4 weeks. I wish it was shorter, but it's not really killing me. My needs are pretty simple.
