I need to make a custom strut tower brace to clear everything on my 351W. What size tubing should I use?

Have you taken a look at Ranchero 5.0 (Jamie) page on building a STB?
http://www.geocities.com/ranchero50/strut.html

My MM STB tubing is 1-1/4" OD from Tower to Tower and from front to rear they used 1" OD if that helps? I'm not sure what gauge though.

You made my night .......that site is what I have been looking for. Do you have any more on other braces, panhard bars or cages etc. That is great info.

(Jamie)Ranchero 5.0 has more on his site, did you happen to look at the page with the Sub Frame connectors? http://www.geocities.com/ranchero50/subframe.html
or

Thanks Almost. Great idea he had, but I want to run the brace to cowl rods to the pinch welds like the MM braces. I was also thinking of fabbing a plate to go under the camber plates.

I guess now I need to ask people for pics of their strut brace installs. That way I can get a better idea of where to weld the front bars.

I've got some pics of how my MM STB is attached and how it fits if you want them . I'll be glad to send you any measurements off my MM STB if you want just email me and I'll get them for you. It's the best I can do for you.
