I have a Diablo Sport Predator Tuner from RPM Outlet.
I had to order a custom tune (5 free when you buy a tuner through them) to turn off the rear 02 sensors.
The Tech said he turned off the rear O2's, turned off the traction control and turned off the torque limiter.
Has anyone had any experience with their tunes? How was it? Just want to get some input before I install the tune...

I, too, bought my DiabloSport Predator tuner from RPM Outlet. Great deal, and great customer service (even though others here have reported "issues"). I opted to have our local dyno shop due a custom tune for me and upload them onto my Diablo tuner, but that cost me to do so. Your asking for simple changes to the tune, so I can't imagine RPM Outlet is going to mess it up. Heck, they might even farm it out to Diablo to do, then forward it back to you.

I don't know why people continue to buy from that place. Maybe you haven't had a bad experience, but you roll the dice every time you deal with them. Why chance it? There are plenty of shops out there with fantastic customer service and reputations to chose from. There are tons of people who have had "issues" (as you've put it) with RPM Outlet. It's not one or two people. It's many people. No need to chance it. I'd appreciate it if you would not recommend people do business with this company to fellow members of the board. When they have issues, then they'll come back to this board because a member recommended them. I don't want to see anyone else have the troubles that I've seen and heard from that place.

Bamachips has their tunes for $50 right now. Not only will they handle everything you're talking about, they will also wake up your car in a big way. A lot better than the crappy canned tunes you get from RPM Outlet or any other plain retailer.

I wasn't recommending that 10holeLX buy from RPM Outlet - he already bought his tuner from them and was asking how to get free tuning changes done from them (which is part of their deal when you buy a tuner from them). I even mentioned that I had my tuning changes done elsewhere (our local dyno shop) instead of having RPM do it, but that's beside the point here...

I've personally bought several big ticket items from RPM Outlet and received great customer service every time. I can only base my judgement of them on my own personal experiences.

Just as you are free to tell the world that you've heard of some bad experiences there, I am free to tell the world that I've had good experiences there.

settle down there. But I have seen you say the same thing before. Knowing all of the experiences eveyone we has has with them, myself included, I would appreciate you not recommending them to members of this board,or trivializing the bad experiences as you did, by referring to them as "issues".

I will again say that there are so many great shops out there that there is no need to chance it.

While you are correct that you are free to have your own opinion, this board has a responsibility to it's members, to ensure that they are given good advice. Shopping or continuing to do business with a company such as rpm outlet is poor advice, put lightly, and I will not stand by and watch anyone recommend them, nor will I allow the terrible issues people have had with them, be down played. Fellow Mustang lovers come on here looking to be pointed in the right direction. As a. Moderator, I'm here to make sure that happens. So don't take it personally. It's nothing against you.
