custom wheels

Well my custom chrome wheels are coming in 2 weeeks! i am so excited after waiting for 5 f##@ing weeks. anyway i wanna know what the best all around size for 17X8.5's are. I heard 245 40 17's are good, but i had some 17X9's with 235's 45 17's earlier that were SEVERLY undersized.............so i wanna know if 255 40 17's are good.... (mostly about front turning radius) or whether i shoudl go with 245's all around? i am looking for all 4 the same size so i can rotate them myself... but i want the rim to be protected...thanks for your help!

I wouldn't use the 255 on front, you may have some rubbing going on. My vote, 245/45's

why did you go for an 8.5 inch wheel custom made?

^ whats wrong with 8.5?? just wondering 245 should be fine, do u have any pics of these wheels like the design or anything? good luck they sound awsome, also i have 9 all around and i have no problem, i only rub the inner fender inside the sideskirt when i turn the wheel ALL the way

okay kool. they are really thin spoked chrome wheels. and they have an indent in the center, kind of like 2000 Cobra R wheels or Steeda's and they are going to have motorsport bolts....they're 17's

i went with 8.5 because it'll be lighter than 9-inch..... and its more the tire size that matters (how wide it is) in terms of increasing performance on taking turns....i think i will got with the 245's then

nothing's wrong with 8.5, i just thought if i could get a wider rim i would but if youre getting 245's anyway it really doesnt matter

if your car is lowered then 245 will look low in the back,i wish i had put 275/40 on the back of mine since i didn't have any quad shocks to get in the way but i'll have to wait until these wear out.
