Anybody have any problems with the guys at Year 1?

I'm just asking because I had a second run in with them today. That's out of doing business with them twice. I'm not trying to bash the company, but they just seem to be lacking in the cust serv department.

Story: Tried to order a headliner. Got one in and I thought it was the wrong color. Called them to tell them about it. Basically they told me I was wrong...with an attitude. Irony is, I order other things from them and got the right color. So, I looked for other guys with the same color as me and they told me I was correct(some agreed w/Y1). Called Y1 back for another one. Same results-wrong color. Called NPD and got the right color instantly.

Get this, called Y1 and told them I got the wrong color so they gave me a return authorization number. I followed the rest of the instructions and sent both back for $20. Didn't get credit for the shipping so I called and asked about it. With an attitude, once again, they told me I shouldn't have sent the headliners back. I replied, you should have told me that and I wouldn't have sent them. I assumed since the items came with return instructions and they gave me a return authorization code, they wanted the items back. Me trying to be a good customer got me in trouble. The guy ended up paying only half of the shipping. Again, with an attitude, told me not to assume anything.....despite them giving me return instructions and a return authorization code...and oh, btw, not telling me to keep $60 worth of headliners...

I guess I should've been a mind reader or something.

Okay a loooong story to say ask vendors if they expect you to return incorrect parts before doing so.

I found that with certain people at many retail companies, you have to talk R_E_A_L_L_Y S_L_O_W_L_Y to match their intelligence level.
