Around here in Lubbock, the thing evry Ls1 owner seems to do is get a cut out at teh Y-pipe. I have ridden in a WS6:hail2: with said cut out before and after he uncapped it and there was a very noticeable SOTP difference. It felt a good bit quicker. Now this may be in my head cuz with an open cut out and LTs and no cats, that thing was like instawood already. But I want to get LTs this winter and if I have some cut outs made for me would it be worth it? I have never seen them on a Stang so is it even possible? I found a muffla shawp that will do em fer 120$. What do you guys think?Any help greatly appreciated.:flag: Dont flame me for liking an Ls1-esque mod but I want to make a lil mo' powa.:nice:

IMO, if you got the LT's and then got a less restrictive catback, you wouldnt be able to tell a difference. However, if you stick with the flows, and you get these cutouts, you will probably want to mount them after the sensors, so just take the catback off and see what it sounds/feels like.

Crazy i live in lubbock too, i have a 97 cobra with a catted x-pipe and then cut outs then flows. So if i want it to sound quiet and normal i'll leave the caps on sounding just like any other x-pipe flow combo, but if i want it loud then i'll leave them off. As far as power, theres no gain at all, seems faster or should i say sounds faster. Sounds mean as hell.
