Cutting springs, but not the usual question.

I don't need to know how to do it or anything. I need to know if cutting JUST my rear springs would help my launch any. With my adj. LCA's the lower I set the rear, the better traction I get, I guess because more weight is on the rear. Now, I was thinking that because I have it set as low as possible right now, (and it's still just even with the front) if I were to cut the rear springs, then I could raise the rear c-arms for daily driving, having it at the same height as it is now. But when I hit the track, I could drop it, and since the springs are cut, then the rear could squat even more, resulting in more traction, hopefully. Theoretically I think this would work, but I don't wanna cut my springs and find out it didn't. Does anybody know if this would work or not?
