recently pulled a trouble code that said "cylinder 2 misfire detected". Car has 2500 miles on it but drives fine. I didnt feel any difference before or after the light came on. I erased the code and am going to wait and see if it comes back on. Can this be caused by bad gas? Has anyone come across this before? Just had underdrive pullies installed today but i doubt that caused it. Any ideas or help will be much appreciated.

Nope its the pullies, I was told by Brenspeed that If you dont follow the torque requirements to the tee, that it will throw a code, but the cylinder is not actually misfiring. mine does it every now and then, but I just erase it & keep it moving.

you know, not too sure about this, but I installed the steeda underdrive pulleys on my 05 about 3 weeks ago. The next day I got cylinder 3, and cylinder 5 misfires. I was really worried I had done something wrong with the pulleys,(torqued to factory specs). I went over to a friend's house and asked if he had any ideas. This was one of those things that I felt really stupid about not checking in the first place. We checked my oil and it was really, really low. Put some oil in and I haven't had a misfire since. (also changed my oil the next day) Don't know if this could be your problem too, but mine was obviously just gettin hot, I don't think it had anything to do with the pulleys, just coiencidence. Might just check this

P.s. mine was definately actually misfiring.
