you should ask if they will cover the small stuff(gaskets...fluids and whatnot)...if they say no...politely and calmly talk to the manager....if that fails move up to the owner...if that fails get pizzed and start yelling

I bought a DSS pro bullet, haven't started it yet. the customer service is great. they've always been up front with me, didn't try to push a bunch of stuff on me, i went with the pro bullet with the windage tray because I didn't want to short myself if I got a new shortblock, they weren't trying to push it on me. as far as what I've seen, the machine work is good, the compression is great. so far so good.

No need to get your panties in a bunch, I was just trying to prepare you for all the "little" things they most likely didn't tell you about, like the gaskets $200+, if metal went through anything, the cam, lifters, oil pump, timing chain etc could also be damaged... If they are only charging $1000 to do all the work needed including the "little" stuff that is a awesome price that I personally have a hard time believing, hope it all turns out well for you.

FWIW, I wasn't going to post this but I built a new motor for a customer a few months ago that had a Pro Bullet in it when he bought it, he thought the car needed a good tune up and look over and brought it to me. What did I find, first it had audible noise, a trashed motor with no compression or low compression in most cylinders.

What did I find, horrible bearing clearances and thrust, a stock .010 under crank, an align hone for the girdle that looked like it was done with a spoon and rings that were not filed properly, scratched the cylinder walls etc.

Every company and or builder is bound to have an issue arise once in awhile. When I build motors I check everything twice and supply a build sheet with all the tolerances, break the motor in and make sure everyhting is good before it leaves, with the customer. Once it leaves my hands it is the customers responsability unless it is a mechancial error that was my fault, then I am responsable for the cost of repair. You would be surprised how many people out there do not take proper care of a brand new motor or components.

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
