Daily driver with a spool?

YOu can drive around fine with a spool. Run a soft sidewall tire, like an et street or something. Slow tight turns will be a pain and parking will may too. Is it the most practical, no. Is it the best idea for a daily driver, probably not. But you'll be fine if the car gets driven in only nice weather or a weekend car.

It's actually pretty streetable if you run the right tires. For a daily driver though you'd probably be buying 3 or 4 sets of tires a year. On my car I run skinnys on the front with ET Streets in the back. It chews the skinnys off really quick driving on the street. Detroit locker would be cool but the last time I checked they were 530.00 for an 8.8.These guys have about anything you'd need. http://www.drivetraindirect.com/

You can get the E-locker. its a diff made by eaton that locks into a spool with the flip of a switch on your dash and then unlocks back to a regular limited slip. I'm not sure if they are out yet but let me know what you need i can get you a posi

You would have to powerslide/drift/fishtail (w/e you wanna call it) around corners.

wrong. Teh car will fight turning, but it wiill turn. It could be done, but it's not worth the hassle on a daily driver. Weekend street pounder ...go for it!!

i've ridden in cars with spools on the street, it sucks.

the cool little chrip chirp chirp, or scruffin' of the tires, gets old fast.
plus we got pulled over twice in one night.
ticketed once, but that was a different incident.

i just put in a powertrax locker with 31 spline moser axels and it is very streetable you might want to look into one of these i got mine from mustangs unlimited for $430
