So Darkness and I are coming back from Silver Falls where we did a quick hike and took in the scenery. We are going about 70 in the fast lane on I-5 talking and BS'ing following a Tahoe, suddenly a battery appears in the middle of the lane. The Tahoe clears but I have no time to react. WHAM!!! Now, some of you guys know that I am close to needing a new battery in my car, but my god not that way! :damnit: So we hear all kinds of noise coming from under my front end, I shut down just in case it took out my pan and veer to the shoulder. Darkness gets out, I back up...he gives an OK...We look at the battery we were dragging, it had shattered into pieces. I am going to get a good look under my car in the morning to see if it did any damage. Everything seems to be in order, but it won't hurt to inspect a little closer. That is all for now....goodnight!

Dame..that would scare the bejesus out of me too. Hope all is well in the morning.....perhaps someday when you get a freaking day off , you outta toss that ProCharger on that puppy

What a bummer Jerry ,well on a good note atleast it didnt fly up into your front end and or hood or even worse your windshield.Glad no one was hurt and I hope your cars ok.I'D Check your suspenion out ,but I think you would of noticed if anything was wrong with the front end when you were driving.Just give it a good look over in the morning since your off tommorro

Wash the battery acid off asap,you know what they will do to all your expose rubber hose,paint and everything else.
Too many peoples get their face smash lately by trash on the roadway. Glad you turn out alright.

dang...
last weekend me and two of my buddies(vw people) were doing a little cruise up towards kirkland. i was in the leftmost lane and they were both in the right lane.

i heard some noise like the first guy hit something and sure enough when i looked a piece of tire was bouncing off of his car. the instant i looked and saw that i saw another even bigger piece fly up towards him and rip his front ground effects. these were truck tires and he lost all of his ground effects... i thought for a sec, maybe it would be a lot worse...

my other buddy driving behind him was too busy opening sealed cd's to even notice the tires before hitting them... but that's ok - lol - his front bumper has already been molested many times

That sucks...sorry to hear about. I hope the car is ok. Is it just me or is there an awful lot of road debris in the northwest. Within the last week or so someone was seriously injured when some junk was thrown up into and through their windshield.

If you for real need a new battery, I just bought an Optima and still have my stock battery. Its in great shape and has 7k miles on it. Make me an offer if you want it.
