Really? You like that one? I'm just not feeling it. I deleted the email about 15 seconds after I opened it.

Nah I'm not getting it and deleted it after grabbing the pics to share here, but they keep coming out with cool models nonetheless

I like the other Street Fighter GTs better, and I'm not even getting one of those unless I find it real cheap. Just no space right now to justify spending so much on one. I gotta limit purchases to ones I really like, which is the original plan I'm trying to stick to. But you know how it goes...haha!

I don't really like the Modified cars they put out. They are nice models, but i guess I just prefer the stock Fox models.

That Cobra is nice, but if it was a real car i prob wouldn't like it. I don't like the stripes and the wheels are so 1998. Much better wheel combos out there to run on a 5-lug Fox than the basic Cobra R's.

I almost wish they had a contest in which people could submit their 5.0's and they would pick one and make it.

I'm waitilng for a Fox Saleen from GMP. I will gladly pay $100 for one

BTW, ebay is a pretty good source for the models. Type in "GMP Mustang" in the search and they will come up. You can usually get some models for cheap I got the '92 GT and '89 GT vert for about $50-60

'89 Gt with white top....1 of only 150 made

Hmm...I have the black top version and it's one of 850.

What's the lowest run model they've done so far??

Yea, but the newer ones still haven't come down in price. Gotta wait

I think Wythors told me this trick, but every now and then GMP offers a FREE 1/18 model when you sign up to their club. It's $29.95 + $10 to ship your gift. And you get a $25 discount coupon on your birthday plus $15 off your first purchase. Not sure if you can combine the two, but still...you get a $100 model for $40 in the end of it if nothing else. I got my '92 GT that way. For a while they've had the Tom's Garage trailer/tools set as the free gift. Very cool and would be nice to have but if I get that then I swear I'm just opening up the friggin' floodgates So I'm withholding until, hopefully, they offer up another Mustang

EDIT:

5L5, funny you mention that white top convertible. Those 1:150 models are the rarest Mustang they've offered so far that I know of. Those were available ONLY as pre-orders to the members of the club I mentioned above. That's one of the perks, is you get to purchase cars made for members only. I think they sold out in like a week. For $100 I wasn't gonna get one anyway, considering I'd just dropped the dough for the '93 LX convertible just prior to that. Too similar to necessitate spending another hundred bucks at the time. Plus like I siad, hoping for a 91-93 GT convertible to get instead!

Yeah, but its discontinued. They also made the front end really funny on that one. The rest are awesome quality, but that one where the hood and headlights are is totally off.

Yeah, it's a Gen 1 Fox model.

Gen 2 has been spot on however!

I have the '87 notch, and the nose is the same way...but i still love it

My fav model so far is not the '93 Cobra..but the '92 GT. I just love the two-tone + pony wheels . They can be had for very cheap on ebay. I got mine for ~ $55

What do I know...

Remember there's a GMP employee on these boards, a couple years ago before these models came out he gave us the tip that we'd be seeing them soon. I can't remember his name on here (again!) but maybe if he's still around he can weigh in on the though. I'd buy one too, no doubt. I wonder if they'd do a 'normal' Saleen or an SA-10. I can see it both ways.

I think he's the guy on GMP with the silver Turbocharged 2000GT.

It would be nice if he could chime in with some future models

I'd like to see a stock Saleen. Either an SSC, SC or SA-10...but i'd even take a regular base model Saleen. Send em a few pics of Whthrs's Calypso Green Saleen
