lol, i hate how HP tv installs stuff, it goes something like this:

ok, well today guys we'll be working on project $hit stain (our brown 11second fox) we're gonna install a vortech supercharger, so let's get started shall we.

start off by disconnecting the battery (silence for noise of ratchet taking off teminal) and that'll disconnect the power from the entire car....
well speaking of car, i need to stick one up my azz, so we'll be bach after these messages.
alright fellas now we're back... while we were on break, we pulled off the belt, took off all accesories, topped off the washer fluid, pulled the motor and rebuilt it, painted the car DSG metallic, installed a 8 inch lift kit with 37" swampers, took a piss, but then decided we didn't like the lift, so we put it back to stock ride height, installed the charger head unit, and that brings us back to where we are now.

so all we have left to do is to put the serpentine belt on, and make a dyno run.

....alright, well dyno results are in, and we picked up an extra 16! horsepower to the wheels, and lost 60 lb ft of tq. so join us next time when me and chuck both find a way to screw up another perfectly good car.

I just called Collingdale performance here in PA and now they said I need a boost control/retard box from MSD for another $450 bucks. This SC thing is getting expensive.

I think I have a problem here.

You won't if you get a custom tune (tells the engine what to do under all conditions throughout the powerband)

But anyway, you can find a BTM MUCH cheaper than that. I don't even think they're $300 brand new from nearly anywhere. I know you can find them under $200 used any day of the week.

My Paxton SN92 took me and a buddy about a day, but I didn't have to tap the pan for my old-skool ball drive. That's the one thing I always hated the thought of when I was thinking about getting a SC.

Mine came with the installation manual, which made it a LOT easier. You might be able to get one of the guys on here to scan theirs for you.

Some of the little stuff I had to do like relocate the charcoal canister (?) and shorten one of the smog tubes would have taken me forever to figure out.

Also check superchargerhelp.com, those guys are a lot of help.

i guess i wussed out, I decided to sell the Supercharger kit, I talked to a ton of people today who claim they had nothing but issues after installing, I'm so confused I don;t want to screw up a very nice low mileage LX.
