Well, my hours got cut at work so plans are foiled for the 347 and Vic Jr's, gotta keep SOME savings for moving out next semester. My current combo is in my sig. Now I'm thinking about just replacing my gt-40p's and my F303 cam. I have been looking at the new Dart Pro1 heads, either the 170cc or 195cc. 1.94 vs. 2.02 valve, 261 vs. 285cfm intake flow. According to carcraft http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/116_0503_ford_dart_heads/index2.html , both heads were pretty even in power numbers when tested with a comp cams XE274 (230/236 .519/.523) and eddy rpm. The 274 is pretty close to what i'm gonna want in a cam, maybe a little more lift. I would say thats about as big as I'll want in a DD. I dont want to have to cut the pistons...they are aftermarket forgings with valve reliefs already cut in. I dont know exact measurments but when we chacked P/V clearance with my P's, my 'mentor' said I had about .150 clearance. notching wouldn't be the worst thing in the world...if it's worth the gain. So. can I get some advise? Does anyone have any experience with either? I'll probly go 347 next summer, are the 195's too big?

I have Dart Pro1 heads on my 347. Don't know which of them I have. My engine builder has built a lot of 347s and he likes these heads. Buys them bare and does his own porting.

I have a solid roller 236/236 with .590 lift cam in it. Really, really like it. Idles well at 800 rpm with just a little lope, pulls 5th gear at 1500 rpm and pulls hard to 6500. Great combo.

Not much info for these heads. Dart says the 170cc w/ 1.94 intake valve flow 261 cfm @ .600 lift. Sounds impressive for runner volume, AFR claims 245 with the 165's. I havn't seen numbers below peak for the darts, but you know dart stuff is good. They're affordable too.
