Dash light confusion....

So I’m at a loss..... I have a dash light that I assumed was the coolant level sensor. I thought the old one went bad at the recovery tank because it was in bad shape. So I finally got a new recovery tank installed and flushed the radiator but the light is still on. No leaks, at full line, new fluid, checked voltage at the plug and I thought it read .5 volts. I don’t know what’s supposed to be there but I assume that’s enough. So why won’t that damn light go out??

Also I know thermostat works and feeds back into recovery we tested that while flushing

Just wondering.

The low coolant sensor works by being grounded. So what does the low coolant light do if the LB wire of the low coolant sensor wire is grounded with the key on?

Do you have a test light? This is the best tool to use for this application as it will "load" the circuit. With the test light pig tail on battery positive, confirm the YE/RD or BK wire will brightly light the test light when probed.
