Hey guys.. I know we have had this discussion before but My dash light are acting up with a twist! They are not working and my fuse is blown. But the twist is after I replace the fuse and it blows could this be the dimmer switch also? Has anyone experienced it? Should I just jam Tin foil in the fuse block? (Only Kidding ) Thanks for your help!!

Could unplug the dimmer switch then jump the two wires to bypass it and see if it still blows. Only way to tell for sure if its the switch or not

If doing this, I would at least use a small (i.e. 5 amp) fuse as the jumper, in case the dimmer is not the source of the short. This fuse will be closer to the short source (than the OEM fuse) and might help diminish the risk of further complications.
