I think there is a switch on the gauge cluster for 4, 6, 8 cylinders, at least there in one on my 82 Capri not sure about my 93 though. Is that what you need? I did a trick I found along time ago to recalibtate a 8 grand Turbo Mustang 4 cylinder tach to work in my 82 Capri 8 cylinder. I compared it to a stand alone tach and it shows the same RPM so I assume it works.
